Joined by Nox, a fox made of smoke, and Sol, a boy from a dying technological sanctuary who fears the very light he tries to save, Dave embarks on an epic quest to the Peak of the First Ray. From the treacherous bargains of the Midnight Market to the reality-bending Thirteenth Hour, Dave must learn to master his nocturnal powers to break the obsidian chains of the Great Solar Eclipse.

But the closer Dave gets to the sun, the more of his “Night-Self” he must sacrifice. To save a world frozen in twilight, Dave will have to decide if he is brave enough to trade his magic for a morning he has never seen.
